Home runs from Robbie Grossman, Miguel Sano and Max Kepler led the Minnesota Twins to an 11 to 5 win over the Tigers in yesterday’s finale of that three-game series at Comerica Park.
It was a rough outing for starter Jordan Zimmerman.
He gave up for five runs on four hits, while striking out 3 and walking 5 in four-and-two-thirds innings.
Jose Iglesia had the big bat for the Tigers. He went three for four with two RBI’s.
The Tigers are now six and three on the season and are tied with the Minnesota Twins for first place in the American League Central Division.
Tonight the Tigers will start a weekend series in Cleveland with the 4 and 5 Indians.
Daniel Norris will start for the Tigers and Cleveland will send Trevor Bauer to the mound.
The first pitch is scheduled for 7:10.
