Newcomers John Hicks and Jim Adducci combined to drive in 7 runs and they powered the Tigers to a 13 to 4 win over the Minnesota Twins in yesterday’s finale of that nine-game road trip.
The win moves the Tigers back into a tie with the Cleveland Indians for first place in the Central Division.
Michael Fulmer started and was the winning pitcher.
He went seven innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits while striking out 7 and walking only one.
The Tigers return to Comerica Park tomorrow to start a 10 game homestand with a series against the Seattle Mariners.
The Tigers will also play the White Sox and the Indians on this homestand.
