James McCann, Justin Upton and Tyler Collins combined to drive in 10 runs and they powered the Tigers to a 19 to 9 win over the Seattle Mariners, last night, at Comerica Park.
The 19 runs was just two short of the Tigers’ team record, which was set back in 1936.
Every Tigers hitter had at least one hit.
Over all; the Tigers banged out 24 hits in 48 at-bats.
The biggest bat belonged to Ian Kinsler.
He had 4 hits in 5 at-bats, scoring 4 runs and driving in 2.
Jordan Zimmermann started and was the winning pitcher for Detroit.
He went 6 innings, giving up 5 runs on 11 hits while striking out 1 and walking none.
The series continues tonight in Detroit.
Daniel Norris will go to the mound for Detroit and Seattle will send out James Paxton.
