The Detroit Lions added a linebacker in the first round of last night’s NFL draft.
They chose Florida’s Jarrad Davis with the #21 overall pick.
Davis – who had 60 tackles and 2 sacks for the Gators in 2016 – is expected to play at inside linebacker for the Lions this fall.
The Packers did not select a player with their first-round pick on Thursday night.
They will pick first in the second round on Friday night instead, after trading back from the No. 29 overall pick with Cleveland for No. 33.
Green Bay also picked up a fourth-round selection from the Browns, No. 108 overall, the first pick on Saturday.
The trade gives the Packers nine selections in the draft now, three on Friday night and six on Saturday. Green Bay will have two picks each in the second, fourth and fifth rounds.
