Jake Marisnick slammed a home run in the bottom of the 8th inning and that sent the Astros to a 7 to 6 win over the Tigers last night in Houston.
Justin Verlander was the starter for the Tigers and he ended up with a no-decision despite not pitching all that well.
Verlander went 5 and 2/3 innings, giving up 6 runs on 9 hits while striking out 4 and walking 3.
The Tigers now go to Chicago for a weekend series with the White Sox.
In fact – they have a twi-night doubleheader starting this afternoon…the one of the games being a make-up game from back in April.
The first pitch in the first game is scheduled for 5:10.
