The Negaunee Miners took the short trip from Iron Town down the hill to the Queen City for the annual Diamond Jubilee game against the Marquette Redman at William Hart Stadium in Marquette for this annual non-conference football match-up. Marquette took the opening kickoff and marched 65 yards to score on their opening drive, but missed the extra point to take a 6-0 lead. The Redmen continued on a good note with two TDs late in the 2nd quarter to make it 20 to 6 at the half. Negaunee got a much needed 6 yard drive for a TD from Beaumont along with the conversion to make it 20 to 14 in the third. The fourth quarter was scoreless making the Marquette Redmen winners of the Diamond Jubilee trophy. For all your Negaunne football action, Sunny 101.9 WKQS.
