The Tigers did manage 9 hits but struck out 12 times.
Myles Jaye was the starter and the loser for the Tigers.
He gave up 7 runs on 7 hits while striking out 2 and walking 2 in just 3 and 2/3 innings of work.
The series continues tonight in Cleveland.
Matt Boyd will take the mound for the Tigers and the Indians will start Corey Kluber.
The first pitch is scheduled for 7:10.
