MLB – The Detroit Tigers Are Swept In A Doubleheader – Start A Series With The Royals

The Detroit Tigers were swept by the Pittsburgh Pirates in a double-header that was played yesterday at Comerica Park.

The Tigers lost the night-cap, 8 to 6, after losing game #1, 1 to 0.

It was a solid outing in the opener from Michael Fulmer, who took the loss despite

allowing 1 run, on 6 hits, while striking out 3 over eight innings.

The Tigers are now one of just four teams that have yet to win a game this season. the others:

the Kansas City Royals, the Cincinnati Reds and the San Diego Padres

The Tigers open up a three game series with the Kansas City Royals today at Comerica Park.

The first pitch is scheduled for 1:10.
