The bats came alive for the Detroit Tigers at a slightly warmer Comerica Park yesterday.
They beat the Baltimore Orioles 13 to 8 to sweep the series.
A 5 run 5th inning was the key.
Tigers hitters set a season high with 18 hits, including home runs by Jeimar Candelaria and Leonys Martin.
Jordan Zimmermann was the starter and the winning pitcher for the Tigers.
He went 5 and 1/3 innings, giving up 4 runs on 7 hits, striking out 7 and walking 2.
Overall Tigers pitchers gave up the 8 runs on 14 hits, striking out 11 and walking 3.
The Tigers have a double header today, including a make up game, against the Kansas City Royals.
Michael Fulmer will start the afternoon game, up against Jacob Junis of the Royals.
Game time is at 1:10.
