
After a close loss in Gwinn on Tuesday, the Ishpeming Hematite girls were hoping to rebound with a road win over the one lost Norway Knights.
The Knights opened the game quickly with a 5-2 lead but the Hematites came back and took over the lead with a 13-9 by the end of the first quarter. Ishpeming kept the lead and built upon it with a nine point run and were leading by ten at the end of the first half 25-15.
Norway came storming back into game during the third quarter with some good shooting to tie the game towards the end of the third quarter 34-34 and the momentum for Norway continued as they pushed past the Hematites.
The girls team drop to 4-4 for the year. They next take on the Superior Central Cougars on Tuesday, January 11th in Eben Junction. Pregame will be 7:00pm and tip off will be at 7:30PM on 98.7FM WRUP.
