After an emotional and physical game against the Negaunee Miners earlier in the week, the Hematite boys hosted the Westwood Patriots tonight hoping for a win to end the week on a positive note.
The Hematites started out with 6-0 run to start the game but the Patriots struck back quickly to have the first quarter end at 8-8. The two teams stayed close throughout the rest of the half but Ishpeming ended the half leading by two points 21-19. It wasn’t until the 4th quarter until the Hematites were able to pull away for the win.
The Hematite boys next take on the Marquette Redmen on Tuesday, January 18th in Ishpeming. Pregame will be 7 pm and tip off will be at 7:30 PM right here on WRUP 98.3FM.
