The Westwood girls were victorious on Friday night beating out the Negaunee Miners in an overtime victory 47 to 45. The Patriots came out strong in the first quarter but were held back by the Miners defense in the second to a 21 to 20 lead. The third quarter saw the Miners offense step up to the Patriots to make the second half a fight to the final basket. Regulation time ended in a 41 to 41 tie forcing the game to a four minute overtime. The game ended with the Patriots up 47 to 45.
