The Westwood girls were victorious on Friday night beating out the Negaunee Miners in an overtime victory 47 to 45. The Patriots came out strong in the first quarter but were held back by the Miners defense in the second to a 21 to 20 lead. The third quarter saw the Miners offense step up to the Patriots to make the second half a fight to the final basket. Regulation time ended in a 41 to 41 tie forcing the game into a four minute overtime. The game ended with a Westwood victory 47 to 45. Join us on Tuesday the 25th when the Patriot boys will face the Knights of Norway with tip-off at 7:45pm.
