The Miner girls took on Ishpeming on Friday night in the second round of districts. The Hematites were victorious coming out on top by a final score of 48 to 35. The first half went back and forth with the Miners matching most the baskets put up by Ishpeming. The score going into the second half was 25 to 13 with Ishpeming on top. The second half saw a push from the Negaunee offense closing the gap point by point but not enough to top the Hemitites.
