The Negaunee Miner boys took on the McBain Ramblers on Monday night in Petoskey for the state quarterfinal losing a close one by the score of 57 to 51. Negaunee got off to a good start but could not keep up with the pressure from the Rambler offense. The second half saw a push from the Miners evening the score with moments left to bring the game into overtime. In overtime the Ramblers jumped ahead by 5 and the Miners could not answer. The quarterfinal ended with the McBain Ramblers on top by a final score of 57 to 51. The Miners season ends 19 and 6.
