The Westwood Patriots travel to Wisconsin to take on Norther Elite.
The Gwinn Modeltowners are at home tonight against the Manistique Emeralds.
MSU and Michigan Play Tomorrow
The Michigan State Spartans and Michigan Wolverines are both in action this weekend.
The 11th-ranked Spartans will travel 60 miles north to face the Central Michigan Chippewas.
This will be the Spartans first trip to Mt. Pleasant.
MSU is coming off last week’s 17-to-14 win over then 24th-ranked Boise State at Spartan Stadium.
The 19th-ranked Wolverines will look to rebound from last weekend’s 41-to-14 loss to top-ranked, and national champion, Alabama this Saturday when Michigan hosts Air Force.
This will be the Wolverine’s home opener.
Detroit and Green Bay Openers
The Detroit Lions open the 2012 season at home against the St. Louis Rams. Game time is 1 p.m.
The Green Bay Packers also open at home on Sunday. They play the San Francisco 49ers at 4:30 p.m.
Tigers Start Road Trip in Los Angeles
The Detroit Tigers begin a 10-game road trip tonight with the first of a three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels in Los Angeles. Game-time is 10:05 p.m.
Max Scherzer gets the start for Detroit, while Los Angeles counters with Ervin Santana.
In the National League it was the Washington Nationals 9, the Chicago Cubs 2 and the Miami Marlins beat the Milwaukee Brewers 6 to 2
