Don Kelly’s sacrafice fly RBI in the bottom of the ninth gave the Detroit Tigers a 5-4 win over the Oakland Athletics in Game Two of their ALDS yesterday afternoon at Comerica Park.
Kelly also scored the tying run on a wild pitch in the eighth for Detroit, which heads to Oakland with a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series.
Triple-crown winner Miguel Cabrera went three-for-five with two RBIs and a run scored for the Tigers.
Al Alburquerque was credited with the win.
Josh Reddick hit a go-ahead solo homer during a two-run eighth for the A’s, who held leads of 1-0, 2-1 and 4-3.
Grant Balfour was charged with the loss. The A’s host Game Three Tuesday night in California.
