Detroit Lions kicker Jason Hanson has been named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in Detroit’s 26-23 overtime win against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Hanson had 14 points in the game, including the winning 45-yard field goal.

This season, Hanson has converted ten PAT’s and is 16-for-17 in field goal attempts.

An NFC West clash kicks off Week 7 of the NFL season when the Seattle Seahawks head south to take on the San Francisco 49ers on Tonight.

The Seahawks and 49ers, along with the Arizona Cardinals, are tied atop the division at 4-2, with Seattle looking to build off a 24-23 triumph over the New England Patriots.

The 49ers, on the other hand, are attempting to rebound from their worst loss in the Jim Harbaugh era after taking a 26-3 thumping at the hands of the defending champion New York Giants on Sunday.
