Ishpeming High School has been named one of the best high schools in the country by U.S. News and World Report.
Out of 826 high schools in the State of Michigan – Ishpeming High School was rated 49th in the state, 2nd in the Upper Peninsula, and first in Marquette County…and that’s saying a LOT…with all the great schools and great school systems around the area.
To be eligible for state ranking a school must receive a gold or a silver medal. Ishpeming gained a silver.
Congratulations to Dr. Stephen Pierson, Principal Vicki Lempanen, all the teachers, parents, and – of course – the students for a job very well done!!
