Red Wings Play Tonight – Abdelkader Suspended 2 Games

Posted on May 6, 2013 in Professional Sports News.

The Detroit Red Wings host the Anaheim Ducks tonight for Game Four of their Western Conference quarterfinals series.

Game time is 8:00 p.m.

The Ducks lead the best-of-seven set 2-1 after a 4-0 win in Game Three.

The series heads back to Southern California for Wednesday’s Game Five.

Detroit Red Wings forward Justin Abdelkader has been suspended two games by the NHL.

Abdelkader received a major penalty for charging and game misconduct when he hit Anaheim Ducks defenseman Toni Lydman in Game Three on Saturday.

Anaheim went on to win the game 4-0 and take a 2-1 lead in their Western Conference quarterfinal series.

Lydman is doubtful for Game Four on Monday night.
