Bryce Harper homered and drove in two to back seven solid innings from Jordan Zimmermann, as the Washington Nationals topped the Detroit Tigers, 3-1 last night.
The start of the game was delayed 57 minutes due to rain.
Zimmermann struck out seven while scattering seven hits and one run as he improved his record to 6-and-1.

Anibal Sanchez fanned eight while allowing three runs, two earned, in six innings as he fell to 3-and-3.
The two teams will play their make-up game from Tuesday’s rain-out this afternoon. Game time is 4:05 p.m.
