The Washington Nationals completed a two-game series sweep by beating the Detroit Tigers 5-4 yesterday in Washington, D.C.
Doug Fister took the loss, his first of the year.
He gave up five runs, four earned, on eight hits while striking out four in three innings.
Fister also had an RBI single in the second inning, while Matt Tuiasosopo hit a three-run home run in the sixth.
Detroit begins a six game homestand tonight as they host Cleveland.
Max Scherzer gets the nod for the Tigers, while the Indians send Corey Kluber to the mound.
First pitch is set for 7:08 p.m.
Both the Chicago Cubs and the Milwaukee Brewers were off yesterday.
