The Chicago Blackhawks Beat The Detroit Red Wings In Opener Of Series.

The Detroit Red Wings fell to the Chicago Blackhawks 4-1 last night in Game One in their Western Conference semifinals series last night in Chicago.

Damien Brunner had Detroit’s lone goal in the first period last night, while Chicago scored three unanswered goals, including an empty netter, in the third.

Jimmy Howard turned aside 38 shots in the loss.

 

Game Two is set for Saturday afternoon, before the series moves to Detroit for games Three and Four.

 

Tonight,  the New York Rangers and Boston Bruins open their Eastern Conference semifinal series in Boston.

 

Later tonight, the defending champion Los Angeles Kings seek a 2-0 series lead when they host the San Jose Sharks.
