The Detroit Red Wings Take 2-1 Lead Over Chicago In The Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Detroit Red Wings beat the Chicago Blackhawks 3-to-1 at the Joe Louis Arena last night,                                                               to take a 2-1 lead in their Western Conference semifinal series.

Gustav Nyquist and Drew Miller scored within 31 seconds of each other in the second period while                                          Pavel Datsyuk scored in the third.

Jimmy Howard turned aside 39 shots on goal in the win.

The Wings will host Game Four of the best-of-seven Thursday night.

 

Today’s schedule has two games in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The New York Rangers host the Boston Bruins in Game Three of their series.

The Rangers are down two games to none after dropping the first two in Boston.

The later game features the San Jose Sharks playing host to the defending champion Los Angeles Kings.

LA holds a two games to one series lead.
