Posted on May 22, 2013 in Professional Sports News.

The Spurs held homecourt to take a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference finals with a 93-89 overtime win over the Grizzlies.

Jerryd Bayless missed a three-pointer with less than 20 seconds left that would have tied the game in the extra period. Memphis forced OT by outscoring the Spurs 21-to-9 in the fourth quarter.

All five San Antonio starters were in double figures, led by Tim Duncan with 17 points, nine rebounds and four blocks. Tony Parker had a playoff career-high 18 assists.

The Spurs held Memphis to 34-percent shooting from the floor. Game Three is at the FedExForum in Memphis on Saturday.

The Eastern Conference finals begin tonight. The Heat host the Pacers in a rematch of last year’s Eastern Conference semifinals, where they won in six games.

Miami was able to pull it out with Chris Bosh missing the majority of the series. Indiana took two of three during the regular season.

Miami is trying to advance to the NBA Finals for a third straight season.
