The Detroit Red Wings Drop One To The Chicago Blackhawks – Stanley Cup Series Is Now Tied At 3-3

The Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks are now tied 3-3 in their Western Conference semifinal series after Detroit lost to Chicago 4-3 last night at Joe Louis Arena.

The Wings led 2-1 after two periods, but the Blackhawks scored three goals in the third to take the lead for good. Patrick Eaves, Joakim Andersson and Damien Brunner scored for Detroit, while Jimmy Howard made24 saves.

Game Seven is set for tomorrow night in Chicago.

 

Tonight, the defending champion Los Angeles Kings host a decisive Game Seven against the San Jose Sharks. The winner of that series will meet the winner of the Blackhawks-Red Wings series in the Western Conference finals.

The Eastern Conference finals will be played between the Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins once the other two series have wrapped up.
