The Detroit Tigers Drop One To The Pittsburgh Pirates – Teams Play Tonight

The Detroit Tigers let a two run lead slip away in a 5-3 loss to the Pirates last night in Pittsburgh.

Miguel Cabrera hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning and Andy Dirks added an RBI for Detroit, who have lost two-straight.

Anibal Sanchez was charged with the loss, giving up five runs on seven hits while striking out nine in six-and-two-thirds innings.

Detroit sends Doug Fister (5-2, 3.65 ERA) to the mound and Jeff Locke (5-1, 2.45 ERA) gets the start for Pittsburgh in tonight’s series finale. First pitch is 7:05 p.m.


Also;  it was the Chicago Cubs 9, and the Chicago White Sox 3.  The  Minnesota Twins took the  Milwaukee Brewers 4 to 1.
