MLB – Detroit Tigers Beat Chicago White Sox In Game Two Of Series

Starting pitcher Rick Porcello went the distance as the Detroit Tigers beat the Chicago White Sox 9-1 last night in Chicago.

Porcello notched his 12th win of the season, giving up one run on seven hits while striking out five over nine innings.

Both Prince Fielder and Alex Avila had four hits and two RBIs, while Victor Martinez went two-for-three at the plate and knocked in a run, as the Tigers snapped their three-game losing streak.


In tonight’s series finale, Anibal Sanchez (13-7, 2.61 ERA) heads to the mound for Detroit and Chicago counters with Jose Quintana (7-6, 3.70 ERA).
