NFL – The New England Patriots And The New York Jets Square Off Tonight

Posted on September 12, 2013 in Professional Sports News.

The NFL’s Thursday night spotlight shines on the AFC East this week as the New York Jets visit the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium.

Both teams are coming off Week One wins thanks to last-second field goals.

The Jets took advantage of a late hit out of bounds penalty to set up Nick Folk’s 48-yard field goal in an 18-17 home win over Tampa Bay.

Stephen Gostkowski’s 35-yarder lifted the Patriots to a 23-21 win at Buffalo.

New England is expected to be without wide receiver Danny Amendola, who is nursing a groin injury.

The Patriots have won the last five meetings.
