NHL – The Detroit Red Wings Open The Preseason By Beating The Pittsburg Penguins

The Detroit Red Wings opened the preseason with a 4-1 win over the Penguins in Pittsburgh last night.

Adam Almquist had two power play goals for the Wings, while Tomas Tatar and Pavel Datsyuk also scored.

Jimmie Howard stopped 13 of 14 shots on goal and Petr Mrazek stopped all 10 shots he faced.

Detroit continues exhibition play tonight as they visit the Blackhawks in Chicago.
