NHL – The Detroit Red Wings Begin The 2013-2014 Regular Season Tonight

Published on October 2, 2013 by   ·   No Comments

The Detroit Red Wings open the 2013-14 regular season tonight against the Buffalo Sabres at Joe Louis Arena.

The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.

This year, Detroit moves to the Eastern Conference and joins Buffalo, Boston, Florida, Montreal, Ottawa, Tampa Bay and Toronto in the new Atlantic Division.

Wings coach Mike Babcock says the players like the move from the West because they will get to play against four other Original Six teams, instead of just one.

Babcock says his team is excited for the season, which will include the Winter Classic and the Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
