The Detroit Tigers begin postseason play tonight in Game One of the American League Division Series against the A’s in Oakland. First pitch is 9:37 p.m.

Jhonny Peralta will play in the ALDS.

Miguel Cabrera, who continues to deal with groin and abdominal injuries, isn’t 100-percent but says he’s feeling better and will rest after the season ends.

Max Scherzer gets the start for the Tigers, while the A’s will counter with Bartolo Colon.


The Tampa Bay Rays travel to Boston to face the Red Sox in their American League Division Series.

Game One of the best-of-five matchup is set for 3:07 p.m. at Fenway Park.

Seventeen-game winner Matt Moore will start for the Rays, while the Red Sox counter with 15-game winner Jon Lester.


The Cardinals and Dodgers have taken leads in their respective National League Division Series.

Carlos Beltran belted a three-run homer to jump start a seven-run third inning as the Cardinals crushed the Pirates 9-1 in Game One of their NLDS at Busch Stadium.

Adrian Gonzalez hit a two-run homer and Clayton Kershaw fired seven innings of one-run ball with 12 strikeouts as the Dodgers beat the Braves 6-1 in Atlanta.
