Nick Folk booted a 43-yard field goal as time expired to send the Jets to a 30-28 win over the Falcons at the Georgia Dome on “Monday Night Football.”
The Jets held a ten-point halftime lead before Atlanta stormed back in the fourth quarter to take a one-point advantage. Geno Smith then led New York down the field in the final minute for the winning score.
The rookie signal-caller finished 16-of-20 for 199 yards with three touchdowns as Gang Green improved to 3-and-2.
The Falcons are now 1-and-4.
Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews is expected to miss a month of action with a broken thumb.
ESPN.com reports Matthews will likely need surgery on the thumb.
He suffered the injury in Sunday’s home win over the Detroit Lions.
Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said he is hopeful Matthews won’t miss the rest of the season.
The four-time Pro Bowler has 18 tackles and three sacks in four games this season for the 2-and-2 Packers.
