NHL – The Detroit Red Wings Take One From The Boston Bruins

Posted on October 15, 2013 in Professional Sports News.

The Detroit Red Wings beat the Bruins 3-2 in an afternoon meeting yesterday in Boston.

Henrik Zetterberg scored in the first period, while Stephen Weiss and Danny Cleary added goals in the second.

Jonas Gustavsson was in net for Jimmy Howard, who sat out with a bruised hand, and stopped 28 of the 30 shots he faced.

Howard is expected to be between the pipes tonight as Detroit faces off against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Joe Louis Arena.

The puck drops at 8:00 p.m.
