MLB – The Boston Red Sox Beat The Detroit Tigers To Go To 3-2 In ALCS

Posted on October 18, 2013 in Professional Sports News.

The Detroit Tigers lost Game Five of the American League Championship Series to the Boston Red Sox 4-3 last night at Comerica Park. Boston now has a three-games-to-two lead as the series moves back to Fenway Park tomorrow.

Anibal Sanchez got the loss.

He gave up four runs, three earned, while striking out five in six innings.

Miguel Cabrera and Brayan Pena each had an RBI. Catcher Alex Avila left the game early with a knee injury after a collision at the plate with Red Sox catcher David Ross.

On the National League side, the St. Louis Cardinals look to advance to the World Series for the second time in three seasons tonight at Busch Stadium in Game Six of the NLCS.

Game Seven would be on Saturday if Los Angeles win tonight.
