NFL – The Detroit Lions And The Green Bay Packers Both Win

Matthew Stafford found Calvin Johnson 14 times and rushed for the game tying touchdown with 12 seconds left to help the Detroit Lions beat the Dallas Cowboys 31-30 at Ford Field yesterday afternoon.

The point after attempt gave the Lions the lead following Stafford’s one-yard TD run.

Johnson finished with a touchdown and 329 receiving yards, which is the second most all-time in a single game.

Stafford ended with the TD pass, two picks and 488 yards.

Reggie Bush rushed for a TD and 92 yards for Detroit, who improved to 5-and-3.

The Lions have their bye week up next.

 

Aaron Rodgers had a good night passing.

He was 24 of 29 for 285 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Green Bay Packers beat the Minnesota Vikings 44 to 31 at the Metrodome.

Micah Hyde returned a punt 93 yards for a touchdown and Eddie Lacy gained 94 yards on 29 carries.

Vikings rookie wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson set an NFL record with a 109-yard return on the opening kickoff and Adrian Peterson rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown for the Vikings (1-6).

Next week the Packers entertain the Chicago Bears for another Sunday Night game.
