Ian Kinsler hit a solo shot in his first at-bat back in Arlington and helped the Detroit Tigers top the Texas Rangers 8-2 at Globe Life Park last night.
Kinsler finished with three RBIs while J.D. Martinez hit a two-run shot in the win.
The Tigers pounded out 16 hits with Rajai Davis and Alex Avila collecting three hits each.
Drew Smyly threw six innings and was charged with one unearned run to improve to 4-and-6 and extend the Tigers winning streak to five games.
Adrian Beltre got his 25-hundredth hit in the loss and finished 4-for-4 at the plate with a RBI.
Texas has dropped six straight.
