The Detroit Tigers snapped a three-game losing streak as they roared back from a five-run deficit to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 14-5 last night at Comerica Park.
Five Tigers players had three hits, including Rajai Davis who had three RBIs and Miguel Cabrera and Torii Hunter who each batted in two runs.
Justin Verlander had a shaky first inning, but settled down and notched his eighth win of the year after giving up five runs on five hits while striking out four in six innings.
In this afternoon’s two-game series finale, Max Scherzer takes the mound for Detroit while Zack Greinke gets the start for Los Angeles.
