Bryan Holaday had two RBIs as the Tigers scored two in the first inning and two more in the eighth, as they lost their fourth-straight game.
Starter Anibal Sanchez was tagged with the loss.
He give up five runs, four earned, on six hits, in six and one third innings.
Reliever Joakim Soria gave up four consecutive hits, and six total hits, while recording just one out in his second outing for Detroit.
Tonight, Max Scherzer gets the start for the Tigers while the White Sox send Hector Noesi to the mound.
