NHL – The Ottawa Senators Beat The Detroit Red Wings

Patrick Wiercioch scored his first goal of the season, putting the Senators ahead in the third period, as they grabbed a 3-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings at home Tuesday night.

Clarke MacArthur clinched the victory with an empty-netter in the final minute.

Craig Anderson turned away 31-of-32 shots for Ottawa, which had lost four of its previous five.

Detroit’s only goal came off the stick of Henrik Zetterberg.

Jimmy Howard gave up two goals on 21 shots and the Red Wings lost their second straight.
