The Michigan Wolverines came up short in a 3-2 loss to Florida in the first game of the Women’s College Softball World Series championship in Oklahoma City last night.
The number-three ranked Wolverines were down 3-0 to the top-ranked Gators before scoring twice in the sixth inning, but couldn’t close the gap.
Sophomore shortstop Abby Ramirex provided the offense for Michigan with two RBIs on a two-out, bases loaded single in the sixth.
U of M will try to even the best of three series tonight at Hall of Fame Stadium.
First pitch is 8:00 p.m.
