The Golden State Warriors defense came to life holding the Cleveland Cavaliers to two points in overtime as they pulled out a 108-100 victory in Game One of the NBA Finals at ORACLE Arena.
Cleveland shot 1-for-9 in the extra five minutes and that gave Golden State to a 1-0 series lead.
Steph Curry led the way with 26 points and eight assists, while Klay Thompson added 21.
Former Spartan Draymond Green had 12 points and grabbed six rebounds.
LeBron James posted a career-high in the finals with 44 points, but he was 18-of-38 from the field.
Kyrie Irving had to leave with a knee injury with just over two minutes left in the OT after going for 23 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals.
Game Two is Sunday in Oakland.
