MLB – The Detroit Tigers Lose In Walk-off Fashion

Posted on June 18, 2015 in Professional Sports News.

Todd Frazier hit a two-out grand slam in the 13th inning to send the Cincinnati Reds to an 8 to 4 walk-off win over the Detroit Tigers at Great American Ball Park Wednesday night.

Joakim Soria came out of the bullpen with two aboard and one out to give up a hit and notch a strike out.

Frazier followed with his second homer of the game.

Miguel Cabrera and Tyler Collins both hit homers for Detroit.

Jay Bruce’s five hits were the most by a Cincinnati batter in one game since 2009.

Starting pitchers David Price and Johnny Cueto both left after five innings because of a one-hour rain delay.

The Tigers will look to get the series split this evening.

First pitch is 7:10 p.m.

Justin Verlander will get his second start of the season, up against Mike Leake of the Reds.
