Matt Kuchar, Ben Martin and amateur Brian Campbell share fourth place at minus-three.

Phil Mickelson fired a one-under 69 on Thursday, while defending champion Martin Kaymer and world number-one Rory McIlroy each carded a two-over 72.

Three-time champion Tiger Woods carded a 10-over-par 80, which is his second worst round ever in a major.

Rickie Fowler, who finished in the top-five in all four majors in 2014, posted a plus-11, 81.
