The Detroit Tigers fell to the Cleveland Indians 8-2 yesterday afternoon, to snap their three-game winning streak.
J.D. Martinez hit a two-run homer in the seventh to provide all the Tigers offense in the loss.
Buck Farmer, who was filling in for Justin Verlander who had a stiff back, took the loss for Detroit giving up five earned runs in five innings of work, striking out seven.
The Tigers begin a four game series with the Chicago White Sox at Comerica Park this afternoon.
First pitch is 1:08 p.m.
Alfredo Simon will take the mound for Detroit in the opener while Chicago counters with Carlos Rodon.
