NHL – Red Wings Comeback Falls Short

The Red Wings comeback fell short as they lost to the New Jersey Devils 4-3 Tuesday night at the Joe Louis Arena.

Detroit had power play goals from Dylan Larkin and Mike Green, and Riley Sheahan also scored.

Jimmy Howard started in goal and gave up three goals on six shots before he was replaced by Petr Mrazek.

The Wings (17-10-7, 41 points) are off for the league-wide Christmas break until Saturday, when they head to Nashville to face off against the Predators.
