The Pistons let a 27 point first-half lead slip away, but held on to beat the New York Knicks 111-105 Thursday night at The Palace.
Stanley Johnson led Detroit with 22 points, Reggie Jackson added 21 points and Andre Drummond had 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Johnson started in place of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope who was sidelined with a groin injury.
The Pistons (27-24) tip off against the Pacers in Indiana on Saturday.
