Quote from Marquette head coach Dan Menze –
“It was definitely a tuff contest playing the on their home field. Last year they were able to clip us and win this game so we knew they would be hungry for another win. After a few mistakes in our defensive zone the mountaineers were able to capitalize on them and build a 3-1 lead with 20 minutes remaining. while we got one goal in the first half, their goalie was playing near unbeatable until the last 15 minutes where we, mainly Trevor Salmon finally cracked the code and was able to score four unanswered goals and come away with a great win. Really proud of the resilience of this young group of kids. Couldn’t ask for a better group of kids to coach.”
