Marquette met the Soo City Blue Devils for the second of two meetings this weekend, with the Devils looking to make up for the their 6/3 loss to the Redmen on Friday night.
The first period remained scoreless until the end, with Marquette scoring the first goal with only two seconds left on the clock. The rest of the game was a back and forth match, with the Devils earning a goal of their own early in the second, followed by another Redmen goal only minutes later. The Soo opened the third period with two quick goals to put them in the lead, but it wouldn't last long as Mike Peterson managed to tie it up for Marquette with only minutes left in regulation, bringing the game into overtime. Eric Rizzio was able to sneak in a final goal to win the match for Marquette.
