MLB – The Tigers Can’t Quite Win

Posted on May 17, 2017 in Professional Sports News.

The Tigers lost in 13 innings to the Baltimore Orioles, 13 to 11 last night at Comerica Park.

Orioles’ first baseman Chris Davis had the game’s decisive hit, a two-run home run in top of the 13th

inning that gave Baltimore the lead for good.

It was a very good night for right-fielder J.D. Martinez.

He smashed a pair of home runs in last night’s loss, including a grand slam in the bottom of the 7th inning that gave the Tigers a – brief – 8 to 7 lead.

Game two is tonight.

The Orioles will start Ubaldo Jimenez and the Tigers will send out Michael Fulmer.

The first pitch is scheduled for 7:10.
